People get tired of us talking racism, but I say keep it going and make you’re voice heard. This time I am using myself as an example for #MissLasDailyDose.
I graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors of Arts in 2013. I’ve applied for job after job after job and I haven’t had any luck. What I just recently realized is how companies manipulate the system. I apply for jobs that I know I’m above qualified for, I have the experience, the knowledge, the talent and the degree. Most employees just deny me without question, but others will manipulate the system and make it seem like they’re doing me a favor and say “we don’t think this position fit well for you, but maybe we will interview for…” The only requires a HS diploma and pays $5 less than the position I want. This is their way of keeping Blacks, educated or not at dead end jobs. If ‘they’ don’t want us to succeed and excel, they will do everything in their power to make sure we don’t. Now, in most cases, we don’t have any other choice, but to accept the job and they know that. But if you have choice, don’t choose them, choose something that shows your potential and your worth. Don’t settle and don’t let them take advantage of you. We have to work together and help lift and empower each other.
“PLEASE HELP!!! This young lady went missing LITERALLY 2 weeks after she turned 18, so her mother was told NO AMBER ALERT could be made because she is 18. It didn’t matter that it was just a couple of weeks. The last her mother heard from her was a text stating “If I don’t make it back home…” “I need you.” “I’m scared.”
In today’s world, some people- too many people feel like in order to be ‘real’ that have to identify themselves as a ‘bad bitch’ or a ‘real nigga.’ I just want to let you know those are two of the most ignorant terms to label yourself as. If a man tells me he’s a RN, he won’t get any play and if a woman tells me she is a BB she won’t get any respect. A real women wants real men and real men wants a real woman. Don’t be bad bitches and real niggas be good women and good men.
Many women have or has had low self-esteem. Some women can openly admit it, but others refuse to admit it. Regardless of the case, some women seek approval from men and/or other women. This is not the route to take, you can’t love anyone the proper way and they won’t love you right if you can’t first love yourself. There is no better feeling then stripping down, looking in the mirror and loving everything you see, flaws and all.
“Power” has been the talk of every social network, every Saturday for the past couple of months and season 2 finale definitely left fans mind boggled.
Sean’s body was found, Tasha was called to identify the body and of course she automatically assumed Ghost is responsible because he told her that he knows about their affair. Holly came back into the picture and exposed Ghost, Ghost and Tommy was close to killing one another. Angela and Ghost are finally able to work on their relationship without any issues- or so they think. Despite Ghost trying to kill off his own team, his plan failed when Robles survived the attack. Robles now wants revenge, he wants to team up with Tommy and take Ghost out. Tommy doesn’t seem to have a choice. Robles gives Tommy an ultimatum- either Tommy kills Ghost or Robles will kill Tommy, Ghost and Holly. To add fuel to the fire, since Angela threw Greg under the bus, he wants revenge and won’t stop until he gets Ghost and Angela behind bars.
Now when Ghost had finally killed Kana, how many fans were excited? I didn’t know how to feel, but one thought was, ‘he better not mysteriously disappear and survive this attack!’ So I was obviously upset when at the end of the episode, there was Kana and he somehow managed to pry the door open and escape. There was no blood drops or anything, so how did that happen? Where the strength come from? When we last saw him, he was pretty much on his last breath and he was set on fire. That’s like some “Scary Movie” types mess, but we expected it. 50 cent is not going to kill himself off so early off his own show!
Season 3 will be full of surprises and will answer several of our questions. I hope that Ghost and Tommy become one again, but they can’t even trust one another. This show is filled with deceit and no one is loyal. Usually, at least one character from every show is a ‘good guy’ but not so much in this case. If I had to choose the most honest person in this show, I’d choose Tommy, even though he did steal money from the club, he was still loyal and had Ghost back no matter what. That’s much more than we can for anyone else. Angela and Ghost are equally vindictive and deceitful, so they belong together.
Now, that this is all over, we can watch “Empire” and catch up on Cookie and Luscious and their family drama. Season 2 will premiere on Sept, 23.
